Don’t get shirty with me

I’ve only recently latched on to the versatility of a shirt dress. I’m now a convert and think it is one of the most hard working dresses to have.

It’s so easy to accessorise and transform into something quite different with a belt.

Here is my wish list. I hope you like them too.

The picture really doesn’t do this dress justice. I saw a lady wearing it with chunky jewelled sandals and she had arranged the dress so the ruching was all at the back and only a little at the front – it looked really fresh and crisp.

Michael Kors silk mini dress

If you like the dress above but have more cash to spare (lots more!) then this silk Equipment dress is on sale at Matches.

Equipment slim signature silk dress

Not sure if this is technically a shirt dress but I think it just about fits the bill. Again, I would undo the first couple of buttons and break it up with a slim belt. I think it looks very sweet.

Asos midi broderie dress

Funky floral beautiful silk dress from Equipment. I reckon you could get away with this in winter with a black jumper and opaque tights.

And to finish off a few DVF dresses which always hit the spot. These are all currently reduced in the Matches sale.

You may have noticed that I haven’t included any midi or maxi shirt dresses. Neither suit me as I’m not tall enough and this is my wish list!
