How to earn your stripes

Navy and white stripes are an absolute classic. Pretty much every iconic film star has worn them from Audrey Hepburn and James Dean to modern muse Olivia Palermo.

The real beauty though is that there is a stripe which suits nearly every age and shape. Even a striped shoe or bag brings a bit of chic fun to any outfit.

There is always the high street cheap as chips option up to money no object designer labels. Available all year round here are some of my favourites at the moment.

Cheap and cheerful at ASOS is this Canvas beach bag and Superga striped plimsolls

Still up in the clouds at the higher price bracket I had a look at Matches and found these to lust after.

Isabel Marant Polly sandals and Ancient Greek sandals

Sea NY lace up dress and Preen high waisted skirt

I know there are lots of this style on the high street but these Figue bags are just too cool for school. Check out their clothes and sandals too.

I hope that these inspire you to get some more stripes in your life. You can never have enough in my book!
